  • Navy Enlistment Bonus Program
    카테고리 없음 2020. 3. 5. 07:00

Sign-on bonuses are an incentive for new recruits to fill valuable positions in the military. The amount of these bonuses differs depending on a number of factors, including which branch of the military you apply to, the career you choose, and for how long you enlist.

Bonuses can also fluctuate depending on what the military needs at the moment. If the Army has a shortage of parachute riggers, for example, it may increase the sign-on bonus attached to that job until it has enough applicants to meet the demand. Check with your local recruiters for the most up-to-date facts and figures. The ArmyThe Army offers a plethora of enlistment bonuses, not only for choosing certain jobs but also for bringing qualities to the table such as being bilingual, holding a college degree, and holding a certification in select fields. These bonuses can be combined for a maximum of $40,000, says Military.com. At the time of writing, the Army offers up to $15,000 for 23 different careers, up to $8,000 for having a college degree, and up to $10,000 for being proficient in certain civilian skills such as X-ray technology. In addition, agreeing to certain types of training, such as warrant officer flight training and officer candidate school, can earn you $10,000.

The NavyLike the Army, the Navy also rewards enlistees for things like having a college education and scoring well on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Bonuses can be combined for a maximum of $30,000 unless you're signing up for Navy SEALS or nuclear training, in which case your bonuses can total $40,000. Additionally, the Navy allows you to combine your bonuses with either a student loan repayment plan up to $65,000 or the Navy college fund, worth up to $72,700. You may choose one, but not both.

The Navy college fund acts as a top-up to the Montgomery G.I. Bill by adding as much as $950 a month to your educational benefits. The MarinesThe Marine Corps currently offers sign-on incentives for several occupations, ranging from $2,000 to $8,000, says the official Marine Corps website. Recruits are also eligible for a $1,000 shipping bonus during deployment.

The Corps also offers educational benefits beyond the regular Montgomery G.I. Bill, including the Special Education Program, wherein recruits can have tuition paid for if they choose an education that supports the field specialty they work in, and the Advanced Degree Program that allows officers to take up to 18 months off with full pay in order to attend graduate school.

Officers must pay for their own tuition but the G.I. Bill will generally pay all other expenses.

October 30, 2019 at 3:36 pmRyan,Being there is a bonus that pays out the way he said (SRB), I doubt he was lying. It is more likely there was a misunderstanding or he really isn’t aware of how EB is paid out and assumed it was paid out the same way SRB was.Generally, the rating and program involved EBs get paid after school, and many of the others get paid after boot graduation. For CTI-ATF (EBSR), payment occurs following Language “A” school. Most others get paid after boot-camp graduation as long as you meet the minimum requirement for it; for example, EBSHP earned and payable upon graduation of RTC as long as you.
